This exhibition brings together over 250 fascinating objects from Pompeii and Herculaneum.  Many have never before been seen outside Italy. The exhibition focuses on the Roman home giving us a taste of the daily life of individuals including businessmen, powerful women, freed slaves and children.  Treasures displayed include finely sculptured marble reliefs, ivory panels, wall paintings, carbonised wooden furniture, and casts of some of the victims of the eruption.
