Introduction 

The society archive holds various formal pieces of correspondence and records of addresses given. Most of these are decorated letters, kept as scrolls. Those digitised include an anniversary address given at the University of Leeds by the council, three letters in Latin between the society and the German Archaeological Institute, and a Latin verse from the Hellenic Society to the Roman Society. There is also a message expressing condolences which was sent to the King at the death of George V, with a reply from the Home Office.
